GUINAYANGAN, QUEZON, Philippines (October 2025) – The Municipality of Guinayangan, in partnership with the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) and the Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC), completed a Local Nutrition Action Plan (LNAP) workshop to enhance community nutrition programs and planning for 2026–2028.

The MNC, composed of local government offices, partner CSOs, DepEd, and youth representatives, reviewed nutrition data, assessed program accomplishments and challenges, and developed evidence-based strategies. The workshop resulted in a revised problem tree, an updated implementation plan for the LNAP 2026–2028, and a strengthened SBCC Plan to boost community engagement and behavior change.

IIRR’s support ensured the process was participatory, evidence-driven, and aligned with national and local priorities, providing the municipality with practical guidance to improve nutrition outcomes.
