Economic Empowerment

The Economic Empowerment Program aims to promote livelihoods and enhance skills and knowledge in enterprise development. It focuses on organizing sectors such as women, youth, and smallholder farmers around commodities and emerging enterprise opportunities.

The Program and its Projects

Promoting Economic empowerment for Women and Youth through Small Livestock in Guinayangan (LSEG)

The Promoting Economic Empowerment for Women and Youth through Small Livestock in Guinayangan project, supported by the London Stock Exchange Group, aims to address shortages in stocks of dressed native chicken experienced by women-led groups engaged in native chicken production. The project will mobilize local youth alongside women to generate interest in native chicken production and participate in managing the community enterprise.

Expanding Livelihood Interventions to XDP Clients

The Expanding Livelihood Interventions to XDP Clients project, supported by the Sunshine Care Foundation, focuses on addressing the unique challenges vulnerable households face. It aims to enhance their access to nutritious food and alternative sources of income, supporting them in diversifying their livelihoods and improving household food security. The project has made significant strides in improving the livelihoods of 40 XDP households in the provinces of Negros, Iloilo, Capiz, and Aklan.

Enterprises under the ICORE project (capacity-building effort)

The community enterprise development project in Guinayangan, Quezon, supported by the ICORE project, aims to empower women in enterprise management. Ten women have been trained in managing coco by-products and buli weaving.
